Apple, J&J open 150,000 enrollment of Heartline Study to Medicare seniors with subsidized iWatches

The study will use smartphones, heavily subsidized Apple Watches - for $49 plus tax at a Best-Buy if they are assigned one for the study - and a customized health management program to influence stroke risk and atrial fibrillation detection.

It is one of the largest randomized digital health trials ever, and also an example of a tech company, a pharma company and a retailer working together.
