80% elective surgeries were postponed, return to normal might take a year

Up to 80% elective surgeries and even 40% of cancer related surgeries have been canceled or postponed worldiwde due to Covid-19. It could take up to a year to clear the list. Additionally, patients with chronic disease who could not or did not consult might see their health deteriorate.

Pharma and MedTech companies need to work closely with hospital teams and HCPs to anticipate and support the re-start.
